Creative use of timber and glass features in the Cove’s choice of 5 craftsman-built, self-contained chalets. Glass-fronted log fires make for a cosy winter’s break.

The Cove's 24 hectares was purchased in 1965 by Wallace and Shirley Greenham. Ten years later, Wallace moved to Demark and began construction of the A-Frame, being followed by potter Jonathon Hook, Kim Greenham, and Susan and Illya Cenin. The A-Frame functioned as a communal living space, and building soon began on the workshop complex which catered for woodwork, metalwork and pottery. The woodwork business "Settler's Pine", grew out of a salvage operation following Cyclone Alby in 1978.

All timber for construction of the chalets by Illya and Susan, has been cut by them at the mill on the property. "Karri" and "Tingle" chalets were built in 1989 (with the assistance of three Cenin children) and "The Sanctum" was completed in 1990."Jarrah" chalet followed in 1999 as the second large group space. The Cenin family are pleased to have you as guests on this beautiful property.

From Visitor Centre, turn south along Ocean Beach Road for approx 2km. Turn left into Weedon Hill Road and continue on this road to top of hill where it becomes Gilbert. Follow on around until T junction, turn into Payne Road and at bottom of road you will see the sign to The Cove.

$50 fee applied to all cancelled confirmed bookings. One nights fee applies for bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival date. Full refund (less $50) if cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival. No refund given for reduction in days or guest numbers. Plus Operators cancellation fee.

Whilst we provide a Booking Service there is a fee of $4.40 for each booking made, cancellations of Confirmed bookings (where payment has been made) will attract a AUD$50.00 (inc. GST) Administration Fee. This Administration Fee is in addition to the Cancellation Fee of the Service Provider/Operator. If the Operator has not specified a cancellation policy then the following will be applied in addition to the Administration Fee. One night's fee for bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival. We reserve the right to offer alternative accommodation/tour of a similar standard in the case of the accommodation/tour operator overbooking their property or for any reason beyond our control.
