January: There are still patches of green, but the water table has dropped and there's not much rain about. The cattle are on dry feed and we're staring to run out hay. Kangaroo joeys are leaving the pouch and emus are here in great numbers. The bush is still flowering - mainly the eucalypts and paper barks. Beaufortia Sparsa is starting its annual starling display. The hens are still producing eggs (free to guests). Marron meals remain popular. Marron are putting on their summer growth spurt and we will do a drain-down in the next month and send some to market.

We are located approx. 20 kms from Pemberton and 52 kms from Nannup, just off the Vasse Highway, on the corner of Hopgarden and Dunnett Roads. Our property back directly onto Beedelup National Park, so privacy is assured.
Upon entering the 70 km/h speed zone in Karri Valley, look for the large blue tourist directional sign just beside the tennis courts. Turn into Hopgarden Road, turn left after the bridge. Karri Valley Chalets reception is only 300m from here (the second driveway on your left, just past Dunnett Rd intersection and our sign).
Please note: There are four different hospitality businesses located in Karri Valley. We have excellent signage to our reception from the Vasse highway. Please follow these signs carefully to ensure you arrive at the right property (this saves a great deal of confusion)

Starting Journey from PERTH…The total travelling distance is approximately 335 km's. Please allow about 3 ½ - 4 hours of travelling time. There are two routes: either the 'Old Coast Road' or the 'South Western Highway' to Bunbury. The 'Old Coast Road' from Mandurah to Bunbury is slightly quicker, as there are no towns to go through. Then continue with from Bunbury Bypass direction for the rest of the way by following one of the options.Option A: Via Bussell Highway…At the big round about before Bunbury, turn on to Bunbury Bypass. Follow the signs to Busselton, along the Bussell Highway. Just about 8 km before Busselton, take the left hand side turn on to Sues Road, following the signs to Nannup & Pemberton. We are on Vasse Highway itself, about 57 km after Nannup and 22 km before you get to Pemberton. When the speed limit changes to 70Km, we are about 2 minutes from here. After this sign there is an intersection of Hop Garden Road, keep travelling a bit further and Karri Valley Resort will be on your left side. Please drive in to get to the Reception & Restaurant.Option B: Via South Western Highway...At the big round about before Bunbury, turn on to Bunbury Bypass. Follow South Western Highway through Donnybrook, Bridgetown and then Manjimup. Turn right onto Vasse Highway heading towards Pemberton. About 3 km past Pemberton, turn right to continue on the Vasse Highway. There is a blue sign stating 'Karri Valley Resort 17km' as well at this intersection.
